What's the tractor horsepower?

Tractor manufacturers were thought to be overstating their products' horsepower in the very early days of the industry but nearly 90 years ago the "Nebraska Tractor Tests" became the standard source of independent information on agricultural tractor performance, including horsepower, fuel consumption, etc.
While the "Nebraska Tractor Tests" has been helpful to farmers sorting out the various claims of the manufacturers, it does not always satisfy the owners of our antique machinery who feel their particular machine is more than average.
The HAH Club can now help establish bragging rights and your rural legend with our dynamometer for PTO output that was demonstrated for the first time at the 16th Annual Antique Machinery Show.
Here is the list of some that tried the dynamometer to determine the horsepower output of their tractors:
 >
JD 830 • 75HP IHC W-4 • 27HP (McCormick Deering)
IHC M • 45HP (Farmall M) IHC SUPER M • 60HP (Farmall Super M)
AC D17 • 52 HP Oliver Super 77 • 50HP
Cockshutt 411R • 32HP Gibson • 25HP
Cockshutt 40 • 45HP
